A hospital in Chicago is studying a new type of treatment for breast cancer, and it could become a breakthrough in improving patients' quality of life. || BUDDY CHECK

One woman in our community does a remarkable job of reminding women she also does a great deal of fundraising to educate the community about early Breast Cancer detection.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will be held in Atlanta on October 25. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m.

How it Works
- Find a buddy -- a family member, friend, or co-worker.
- On the 11th of each month, call your buddy and remind each other to do a breast self-exam.
- If you find a lump, call your physician.

An 11-year-old Douglas County boy is back in class after his assistant principal saw him having a what was termed "sudden cardiac arrest" and sprang into action.

A 10-year-old Newton County fifth-grader was arrested and fingerprinted, and faces expulsion and juvenile detention, over his toy, cowboy six-shooter.
