Olympics Headlines
After 16 days filled with some of the most memorable moments in Olympic history, the 2008 Beijing Olympics have come to a close, and the world looks towards the 2012 Games in London.
Michael Phelps won a record eight gold medals, Nastia Liukin became the third American woman to take the individual all-around and each member of the Lopez family walked away with a medal. These and many more are the moments that defined the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
As the lights are dimming on the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the embers are starting to glow in London. Eager to show the world it's ready to host the 2012 Games, London demonstrates it's city and Olympic pride.

LONDON - Look out London, Michael Phelps is coming to the 2012 Games and he's thinking about adding events to his repertoire.

An Atlanta-based program called International Paint Project put together an art exhibit of 150 paintings from 66 countries. All of the paintings were done by young people on the Olympic themes of peace, goodwill and friendship. The exhibit opened in Beijing in June.

Driving in Beijing, a city with three times the population of Metro Atlanta can be an adventure. Luckily, Brenda and David had a driver to help them get around.
They came to Beijing, surrounded by much hype and recognition. But for these headliners, the Games of the 29th Olympiad were not as glorious as they were supposed to be, and a few shocking moments led to them returning home without a gold medal.
